These Kids Are Driving Me Crazy is the creation of Richard Lougy and David Rosenthal.

Richard A. Lougy

richard-lougy-photoRichard A. Lougy has been living and working in Sacramento, California, for the last 34 years, where he began his career as a middle school teacher. During that time, he also served as an elementary school counselor and later as a school psychologist. Before retiring in June of 2007, he oversaw mental health services for Head Start and Early Head Start programs in a large metropolitan school district in Northern California. He has a private practice specializing in children with ADHD and related disorders. He has treated and worked with thousands of children with ADHD and their families throughout his career. He has coauthored three books on ADHD, written articles on ADHD in a national newsletter, and regularly presents at state and national conferences.

Richard currently is in private practice specializing in ADHD and related disorder. He is an outside mental health consultant for Head Start and Early Head Start Programs at SETA in Sacramento, California, a clinical supervisor for Marriage and Family Therapist Interns, and provides outside mental health services for the Before and After School Program in the San Juan Unified School District. He lives in Lincoln, California, with his wife Linda.

David Rosenthal

david-rosenthal-photoDavid Rosenthal,M.D.,is a child, adolescent,and adult psychiatrist who earned his medical degree at the University of Iowa School of Medicine in 1986 and completed his residency in adult psychiatry and fellowship training in child and adolescent psychiatry at the University of California, Davis, Medical Center.

He practiced psychiatry in various settings in California for many years and treated thousands of patients with ADHD, anxiety, and mood disorders before co-authoring the books: The School Counselor’s Guide to ADHD: What to Know and Do to Help Your Students (Corwin Press/2009), ADHD: A Survival Guide for Parents and Teachers (Hope Press/2002), and Teaching Young Children With ADHD: Successful Strategies and Practical Interventions for PreK-3 (Corwin Press/2007).

He has lectured widely on ADHD and mood disorders and is currently in private practice in Boulder, Colorado, where he resides with his wife and son. He also teaches classes in psychopharmacology at the University of Denver.
